Fair Rodeo next weekend

As a kick-off to the Scotts Bluff County Fair, a sanctioned PRCA rodeo will be held on July 26 and 27, starting at 7:30 p.m. both nights at the scotts bluff county fairgrounds.

Professional cowboys will compete in six events, including saddle bronc riding, bareback riding, bull riding, tie-down roping, team roping, and steer wrestling. These events will feature top cowboys from the Prairie circuit competing for thousands of dollars in prize money. Sanctioned by the women's Professional Rodeo Association, women competitors will show their skills in the wpra barrel race.

In addition to top competitors, young cowboys and cowgirls will be able to participate in the tiny tots boot scramble, kids' calf scramble and mutton bustin. Those interested should be at the rodeo by 7:30 each night. Mutton busters will be from ages 5-8 and a parent or legal guardian must register and sign a waiver prior to 7:30 p.m. There are a limited number of mutton bustin spots available. Prizes will be awarded for all winners!

This year there will be a new clown act at the Mitchell rodeo. during his performances, scot allerdings will provide family friendly comedy to new exciting acts.
