Drug suspects rounded up in warrant sweep
A number of individuals were arrested Friday morning culminating an 8 month investigation as the WING drug task force and officers from various agencies participated in a warrant sweep. Officers gathered for a briefing at 6:30 Friday morning before moving out to execute the warrants.
Nebraska State Patrol Sgt. Dana Korrell says with the exception of one individual who was found to be out of the area, all of the suspects from the 8 month investigation were rounded up.
Two of the individuals on their list were already in custody, including 27 year old Alex Leonhardt, charged with 2 counts of distribution of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school, and 24 year old Veronica Cantu for distribution of methamphetamine. Others arrested in the warrant sweep included 27-year-old Richard Harms for distribution of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), 33-year-old Lance Osteen for distribution of methamphetamine within 1,000 feet of a school, 37 year old Travis Palmer for distribution of a controlled substance (methamphetamine) and distribution of oxycodone, and 29 year old Kasi Chabot for two counts of distribution of a controlled substance (methamphetamine).
