Districts Make Plans for Early Irrigation

Irrigation districts are making their plans for early delivery. Farmers Irrigation District will continue water deliveries indefinitely with intention of staying on until adequate rainfall merits a temporary shut off. Contact your ditch rider to order water.

Pathfinder Irrigation District will begin shutting down its irrigation system at 12:01 A.M. on Sunday, June 3rd (2012). The system will be completely off at 8:00 P.M. on Monday, June 4th. Irrigation deliveries will terminate as water levels in the canals drop. Irrigators should plan their irrigation accordingly.

Water deliveries will be off for approximately 10 days, all dependent upon rainfall and weather conditions.

While the Bureau of Reclamation is currently projecting a full water supply for 2012, irrigators are cautioned that due to a very low runoff this year the Districts are already drawing storage water from Pathfinder Reservoir. Irrigators are encouraged to work with the District to manage and conserve as much water as possible.
