NeCGA President offers resolution for voluntary food labels

SAN ANTONIO – Nebraska Corn Growers Association President Joel Grams spoke with the Rural Radio Network's Chad Moyer at the Commodity Classic in San Antonio. Grams said the NCGA will offer their own resolution to voluntary food labels. This comes in response to questions being raised about genetically modified ingredients in foods.
"If we had a federal law which the FDA would be in charge of, that would solve a lot of problems." Grams explained. "Instead of having 50 different laws, there would be one central"
Other discussion worthy issues in San Antonio included tax policy, farm bill implementation, and big data, namely fertilizer and chemical prescriptions and yield data coming from precision agriculture sources.
