National C-FAR to Host Seminar on Building a Climate-Ready Agriculture

The National Coalition for Food and Agricultural Research will present how research on agroforestry is a tool to building more climate-ready farm and ranch operations at its Hill research seminar on Monday. U.S. Forest Service Research Soil Scientist Dr. Michele Schoenberger will be the featured speaker. Schoenberger says agroforestry research will help farmers and ranchers integrate a suite of tree-based practices to help them be more successful in meeting multiple challenges. National C-FAR President Chuck Conner says this presentation provides an excellent example of the value of federally funded food and agricultural research, extension and education in producing the scientific outcomes and outreach needed to meet 21st Century challenges and opportunities. The seminar is open to the public and media - and presentations are available at www dot NCFAR dot org slash Hill underscore Seminar underscore Series dot asp (
