Clarence was born March 9, 1919 in Melbeta, Nebraska to Harry and Blanche (Tart) Crabill. He was raised his entire life in Melbeta. As a young man, Clarence worked as a Line Boss with McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft Company of Santa Monica. While working in California he met his future wife Bea Erickson while attending the Lawrence Welk dances. They were married September 19, 1942 and a couple years later would move to Melbeta to help his Dad farm. He served in the US Army 1944-1946 where he was once assigned to serve as Adjutant (Assistant) to Major Allen. Clarence would then end up working for the Scotts Bluff County Highway Department for approximately 40+ years. Clarence and Bea were also the custodians at Melbeta Public School for 13 years a job they really enjoyed.

Clarence was a devoted husband, dad and grandpa. His family meant the world to him. He was especially fond of what he called "his three little girls plus mommy" - that being Haylee, Charlee, Lynlee and mom Barb. The family would like to express our deep appreciation for all the love, support, companionship, and time that our daughter-in-law Barb has devoted to Grandpa. She is a real peach!

A special thank you to Roylene of the Aging Office of Western Nebraska for the much needed assistance through the years.

He is survived by daughter: Janet (Steve) Sandvik of Littleton, CO; four grandsons: Todd Fulton, Jeff (Tanya) Fulton, Brandon (Barb) Harder and Jason Sandvik; 10 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren; nephews Joe (Dede) Crabill and Jay (Terri) Crabill.

He was preceded in death by Bea his loving wife of 62 years; daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Ted Cox; brother and sister-in-law George and Bonnie Crabill and special friends: Ruth Neal, Mamie Reading and Keith Misner plus many others.

We love him and we will miss him but believe he is passing from this life to a better place where he need not suffer. And as he would always say – keep the greasy side down!
