Jimmy "Jim" Dean Billingsley, 52

Jimmy "Jim" Dean Billingsley, 52, won his battle with brain cancer, Monday, September 10, 2012 with his family by his side.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Monument Bible Church in Scottsbluff with Pastors Dan Anderson and Jonathan Seng officiating. Burial will follow at the Bayard Cemetery.

Friends may call at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 12. Memorials can be made to the Jim Billingsley Memorial Fund at Platte Valley Bank.

Jim was born November 6, 1959 in San Francisco, California to Vern Billingsley and Catherine Cleveland.

He married Brenda Stuart on March 5, 1983 in Bridgeport, Nebraska. They made their home outside of Bayard for the last 30 years.

Jim worked at Stuart's Feedlot for 30 years. He was a member of the National Cattleman's Association and Red Willow Sunday School.

He was a hardworking, big hearted person who always had a smile on his face. He could always find the positive in any situation. He was a friend to everyone and loved life to the fullest.

Jim is survived by his wife, Brenda; daughters, Ashley Moore, Lesley and Brittany Billingsley; grandchildren, Katelynn and Kaden Moore; father, Vern (Barb) Billingsley; mother, Catherine Teppert; siblings, Deb (Rod) Heerten, Brenda Muhr , Melody (Todd) Kaufman, Catherine(Sean) Reese, Hope Billingsley, Robert Billingsley and Jennifer(Jeremy) Holthus; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as many more family members and friends.

Jim is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Bill Stuart; aunts, Ida Louise Shaul and Barbra Sterkel; brother-in-law, Bob Muhr; and step-father, Bill Teppert.

Jim will be greatly missed by those who loved and knew him.
