Pauline Dillman, 98, Torrington
Funeral services for Pauline Dillman, 98, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 6, 2012 at the Colyer Funeral Home Chapel with Melvin Gable officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery in Torrington. Pauline died Friday, August 31, 2012 at the Goshen Care Center in Torrington.Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church or the Goshen Care Center.Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home and the casket will be open at the service.Arrangements are under the direction of the Colyer Funeral Home and friends may send their condolences to the family at www.colyerfuneralhome.com .
Pauline was born April 14, 1914, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada the daughter of Pete and Katherine (Gable) Hessler. The family moved to Scottsbluff, NE when Pauline was a year old. They later moved to a farm North of Scottsbluff, in the Victory Hill community, when she was 6 years old. This was where Pauline grew up and attended school. She met and married John Dillman in Scottsbluff, NE in 1933. The couple farmed near Yoder, WY until 1974, when they retired and moved to Torrington. John died in 1998. Pauline moved to Golden Homes in 2001 and later moved to the Goshen Care Center.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Torrington where she belonged to the M&M Circle. Pauline enjoyed gardening, flowers, crochet, sewing and reading.
Survivors include son Willie (Wilma) Dillman of Torrington; daughter Millie Eckhardt of Casper, WY; son Johnnie (Rosie) Dillman of Torrington; brothers Ed Hessler of Scottsbluff and LeRoy Hessler of New Mexico; son-in-law Jim Best of Cheyenne, WY; 13 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; four brothers; three sisters; son-in-law Roger Eckhardt; and daughter-in-law Luane Dillman.
