Orval "Harpo" Emil Marx, 82, Bridgeport
Orval "Harpo" Emil Marx, 82, of Bridgeport, passed into eternity August 21st, 2012. He was given a loving farewell by his children Lisa (Biberos) Atlanta, Dean of Harrison, Grant of Bridgeport, and Brian of Sterling, CO.
A celebratory fellowship will be held at Bridgeport Church Of Christ, August 25th at 12 noon. As a light lunch is shared, a life well lived will be remembered and celebrated. Military honors will be by the Nebraska Army National Guard. In lieu of flowers, please bring your memories and share. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.bbchapels.com.
Orval served his country proudly in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion as well as a long time member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Preceding Orval in death were his parents, Emil and Elsie Marx (German immigrants settled in the Dalton area, 8 brothers and sisters, Howard, Herbert, Ervin, Velma, Alice, Shirlene, Alvira, and Myrna, and by his first grandchild, Marlo.
Survivors include his four children, their spouses, Jim, Sonja and Linda, 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He is also survived by one sister, Luella Kaus of Sidney.
He is absent from our presence but not our hearts. He is not gone....just "went fishing."
Bridgeport Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
