Bluffs school board approves plan for HS upgrades
The Scottsbluff School Board Monday evening asked Baker and Associates to move forward with plans and specifications for phase one improvements at Scottsbluff High School that have a an estimated total cost of nearly $1.9 million if approved this year.
Business Director Lavon Hood says the improvements concentrate on infrastructure upgrades in the electrical system, fire sprinklers, plumbing, and roof replacements in addition to a locker room remodel, restroom addition and mechanical upgrades. Hood says the improvements would be paid for through money in district saving accounts.
Hood says all of the construction will take approximately 19 months to complete.
