Experimental Aircraft Association local Chapter 608 will be hosting the 2014 EAA Fly-In and Airport Family Fun Day on May 31st at William Heilig Field (BFF) at Scottsbluff's Western Nebraska Regional Airport.

EAA member Sherry Fisher says in addition to many vendors plus local and regional General Aviation (GA) aircraft that will be on display, they will have some unique extras including a P-51D Mustang, Air Link Medical Helicopter, Nebraska State Patrol and more.

Fisher says one of the main reasons they hold the event is to interest young people in aviation. They do this with Young Eagle Rides, which will be available for youth ages 8 to 18, (free for first time riders). Register at the airport from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. The event is May 31st this year to run in conjunction with the Sugar Valley Rally weekend. It begins at 7 a.m. May 31st with a pancake breakfast and runs until 2 p.m.
