"Hoops for Heroes" helps local organizations
The annual "Hoops for Heroes" fundraising event that was recently sponsored by Leadership Scottsbluff Class 24 had a very successful conclusion. The group Friday presented a $16,500 check, representing $5,500 each to CAPstone Child Advocacy Center, CASA and the Riverside Discovery Center for Kids.
In presenting the check to representatives of each organization, Monty Lovelace told those in attendance that the Leadership group wanted the money to go where it would do the most good for the youth of the community. So they decided to split the proceeds between these three organzations.
