Scottsbluff authorizes matching funds for pathway
The Scottsbluff city council has committed to allocating matching funds for a $3 million dollar state grant that will help pay for the five miles of pathway from Avenue I Highway 26 and up to the Landers soccer complex. The project also includes a pedestrian bridge that would span Highway 26.
City Manager Rick Kuckkahn says the $600,000 match will be budgeted budgeted $100,000 a year over six years.
Construction is expected to start on the pathway within the next year.
