Tri-State Generation Receives USDA Grant

Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc. Receives Nearly $52 Million To Improve Electric Services in Nebraska, Colorado, New Mexico, and Wyoming

USDA Rural Development has announced Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc. is receiving a grant to improve electric services to rural areas in parts of Nebraska, Colorado, New Mexico and Wyoming.

Tri State Generation will receive a guaranteed electric loan of nearly $52 million dollars. The funding will be used to upgrade and modify existing generation and transmission facilities. It includes $1,659,935 for environmental improvements.

Nebraska counties impacted from project include Arthur, Banner, Box Butte, Chase, Cherry, Cheyenne, Dawes, Deuel, Garden, Grant, Hayes, Hooker, Keith, Kimball, Lincoln, Morrill, Perkins, Scotts Bluff, Sheridan and Sioux.
