Mark R. Reiber, 52, Scottsbluff
Mark R. Reiber, age 52, of Scottsbluff, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013 at his home. His funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 10, 2013 at The Salem Congregational Church in Scottsbluff, with Pastor Dale Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Scottsbluff. Memorials in his name may be made to Salem Congregational Church. Friends who wish may call at the Jolliffe Funeral Home Sunday, June 9, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. His obituary may be viewed at www.jolliffefuneralhome.com where online condolences may be left and candles lit in his memory.
Mark was born December 29, 1960 in Scottsbluff to Robert "Bob" and Viola (Miller) Reiber. He grew up and received his education in Scottsbluff and graduated from Scottsbluff High School with the class of 1979. He attended and graduated from Central Nebraska Community College in Hastings, Nebraska with a degree in electronics. He then attended and received a degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney. He moved to North Platte and worked for the telecommunications division of the Union Pacific Railroad for fourteen years. He moved to Scottsbluff in 2008 and has resided here since.
He was a member of the Salem Congregational Church. Mark liked playing sports, especially baseball and softball in which he participated in for many years. He was also an avid Nebraska Cornhusker football fan.
Survivors include his parents Robert "Bob" and Viola Reiber of Scottsbluff, his sister and brother in law Lori and Mark Payne of Gering, his nephew and his wife Matthew and Shawna Payne and their daughter Brynlee of Gering, his niece and her husband Michelle and Austin Dillon and numerous cousins. He is also survived by his aunts and uncles Al and Betty Reiber of Scottsbluff, Bob and Betty Stromski of Scottsbluff and his aunt Helen Reiber of Blair, Nebraska
He was preceded in death by his grandparents and numerous uncles, aunts and cousins.
