Allegiant calls local airport presentation "timely"

Scottsbluff County Airport Authority Board Chair Don Overman says a presentation to an Allegiant airline official at an international airport conference in Sacramento, California could not have gone better.

Overman says the local delegation is trying to persuade the airline to provide a biweekly flight to and from Las Vegas. Overman says the airline representative was "receptive" to their presentation. Overman says the official indicated the presentation was "timely" and that they were looking at a new direction and ideas.

Overman says the representative was impressed with the width and length of the runways and the airline would help the local airport with an advertising plan for the flights.

Overman says a consultant had worked with the airport to provide a brochure showing what the airport could offer. Overman says the official did not provide a timeline for a response but said he would present Scottsbluff's proposal to senior management.
