Mission of Mercy gets big donation
The Nebraska Dental Association's Mission of Mercy received another sizable donation Friday night.
The Mission of Mercy Project, which will provide free dental care to those in need in Alliance on July 13 and 14, received a $10,000 donation from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska.
During a donor's appreciation dinner held Friday night at the Knight Museum and Sandhills Center, Rob Trebilcock of Blue Cross – Blue Shield in Omaha and Dr. Todd Sorensen of Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff presented the check to Dr. Cork Taylor and Rich Otto of Alliance.
Dr. Taylor is the overall chairman of the Mission of Mercy project while Otto serves as the finance chairman.
Trebilcock says in reading the grant application, his company was extremely impressed with the number of people that the project has the potential to serve.
Dr. Todd Sorensen, the Chief Executive Officer of Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, serves on the Blue Cross Blue Shield Board of Directors. Dr. Sorensen says the magnitude of the Mission of Mercy project justified a $10,000 donation.
