Drive Thru flu shot clinic set for Saturday
The annual Drive-thru flu shot clinic for medicare patients is scheduled for this Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m. at Regional West Medical Plaza South.
Community health Nurse Paulette Schnell says the clinic was developed to make it easy as possible for Medicare patients to get the shot because they are one of the groups at higher risk for complications from the flu.
Schnell says those getting the shot should bring their Medicare Part B card for billing so the shot is free and then be ready to get the medication in the comfort of their car.
Schnell says there is plenty of vaccine this year. Walk-in flu shot clinics for adults and children over six months will be held on three different dates at the Community Health office at St. Mary Plaza. They are scheduled for Saturday October 13th from 8 to 10 a.m., Thursday October 25th from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., and Thursday November 15th from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
