Carl Plummer, 80, Bayard

Carl Plummer, 80, of Bayard, died Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Chimney Rock Villa in Bayard. His memorial service will be held at 10am on Friday, March 8, 2013 at Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff with Pastor Gary Cole officiating. Inurnment will be at Bayard Cemetery. In lieu of any flowers, the family requests that memorials in Carl's honor be made in care of the family to be designated at a later time. Online condolences may be left and memorial candles in Carl's memory lit at Jolliffe Funeral Home and Crematory in Scottsbluff is in charge of arrangements.

Carl was born May 4, 1932 in Chadron to Frank and Marie Plummer. He attended school in Chadron and graduated high school in Scottsbluff in 1950. He married Anna Lucile Knoll in 1959 and then later Miralee Stufft. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Scottsbluff, served on the Church Board and was chairman of Deacons. He was very active in the Scouts and had earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He was Scoutmaster of Troop #4 in Scottsbluff for 11 years. After being Scoutmaster, he was on the Eagle Board of Review for 6 years. He was a member of the Gering/Scottsbluff Cosmopolitan Club and served as president for 1 year. He was part owner of Buck's Booterie and The Shoe Inn in Scottsbluff. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, playing cards with his buddies and especially being with his loving family and friends.

He is survived by children Tony Plummer, Kacey (Troy Sell) Miles Sell, Tammy Miles Custer and Jody Miles; grandchildren Elizabeth Plummer, Keara, Teagan and Aidan Sell, Matt Sanderson, and Mitchell and Miranda Miles.

His parents preceded him in death.
