Mitchell man receives prison for burglary conviction
A Mitchell man was sentenced Wednesday by Scotts Bluff County District Court Judge Leo Dobrovolny to 20 to 60 months in prison for his conviction in in the burglary of a Mitchell home this past February. 47 year old Johnny Grimm was accused of taking approximately $400 in silver coins from the home February 9th.
Court documents say the front door of the home was damaged and Mitchell Police officer Josh Catalin observed a bank in a spare bedroom had been cut on the bottom.
The documents say Catalin was shown a green bag with silver coins at the suspect's residence and was also able to confirm that Reichert Jewelers had recently purchased silver coins from Grimm.
