Tennis courts at SHS completed

Construction of the four new tennis courts at Scottsbluff High School has been completed. The new post tension concrete surface court system is designed to increase longevity and resists settling and structural cracks common to tennis courts.

This construction is expected to greatly reduce annual and long-term maintenance costs when compared to conventionally reinforced concrete or old technology asphalt courts. In addition to the post tension surface, the courts have been constructed to USTA standards including 4' wide gates for ADA access, wind protection and striping for junior players soon to be added.

Construction of the new tennis courts was made possible through the fundraising efforts of Scottsbluff Booster Club/Racquet for Recreation, who received grants from the Missouri Valley USTA, National USTA and local contributions totaling $150,000.
