Agnes M. Wynne, 96, Harrisburg

Agnes M. Wynne, 96 of Harrisburg, Nebraska passed away Thursday, July 18, 2013 at Heritage Estates.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Harrisburg Community Church in Harrisburg with Pastor Ken Boston officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Bluffs Cemetery in Pine Bluffs, Wyoming. Visitation will be Monday from 9 am to 8 pm at Gering Memorial Chapel. Memorials have been established to Banner County Fire Department and Harrisburg Community Church. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.geringchapel.com.

Agnes M. Wynne was born March 4, 1917, at home on a farm west of Harrisburg. She was the youngest of five children born to John and Minnie (Krehmke) Rathman. She graduated from Harrisburg High School in 1934.

Agnes married Leon Wynne in Alliance, Nebraska on October 5, 1938. They farmed and ranched in Banner and Kimball Counties their entire married life. She was a homemaker and raised six children. She was a member of Harrisburg Community Church and Pep Extension Club.
Survivors include her late son Bruce Wynne's children Kevin Wynne of Harrisburg, NE, Roxie (Brad) Shaul and Lana (Troy) Greene both of Gering; son Bernie Wynne and his children Theresa (Lance) Lowe, Kristy (Travis) Petersen and Kerry (Becky) Wynne all of Scottsbluff; son Bill Wynne and his children Holli Himmelreich of Colorado, Tonya (Devon) DeMott of Gering and Corey Wynne; daughter Kathy (Larry) Malm of Pine Bluffs, Wyoming and their daughters Stacy (Lance) Green of Smyrna, TN and Stephanie (Lt. Col. Bill Westfahl) of Fairfield, CA; son Kent Wynne and his daughter Ashley (Darin) Pope of San Diego, CA and daughter Tammy (Tim) May of Imperial, NE and their sons Taylor (Michelle) May, Mathew (Celeste) May and Michael May all of Imperial, NE; 30 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; special friend Janice Wynne and grandson James Kropp.

Agnes was preceded in death by her husband Leon on February 3, 1982; son Bruce on July 17, 2010, her parents, brothers Elmer, Lester and John, sister Ada Nighswonger and granddaughter Becky Malm.
