Seat belts help Bluffs woman escape serious injury
A Scottsbluff woman escaped serious injury in a rollover accident Friday, likely because she was wearing seat belts. 41 year old Rachel Gonzales was westbound on Skyport Drive, the gravel road leading to the airport, when she lost control of her vehicle.
Scotts Bluff County Sheriff's Deputy Travis Peterson says Gonzalez over-corrected twice to keep the car from sliding off the road and it eventually rolled one and a half times, landing on its top. Gonzales was walking around when Peterson arrived and was taken to the hospital for treatment of possible injuries.
The accident occurred shortly after noon.
