Scottsbluff schools in need of substitute teachers

Interested individuals should visit the SBPS District office at 1722 First Avenue in Scottsbluff to complete a packet.
For certificated applicants, The State Substitute Teaching certificate is available and is valid for five years and authorizes teaching in any subject at any level with unlimited number of days of teaching.
A Local Substitute Teaching Certificate is also available to those without teaching certificates. It is valid for three years and is limited to 45 days of teaching in any school year. This type of certificate is valid for teaching only in the school system requesting the issuance. This certificate requires a minimum of 60 semester credit hours of college coursework with at least one course in professional Education and one course or narrative in Human Relations Training. A temporary certificate valid for six months will be issued if this course requirement has not been met.
Substitute teachers are paid $95 a day with wages increasing incrementally based on length of assignment.
