John Saucedo, 63, Scottsbluff, died Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at his parent's home.
A private family viewing will be held 1-3 pm, Friday, June 14, 2013, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Home. A mass will be held at 10:00 am, Monday, June 17, 2013 at Our Lady of Guadalupe with Fr. Phil Flott officiating. Inurnment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Scottsbluff. The John Saucedo Memorial Fund has been established.
He was born September 24, 1949, in Scottsbluff, to Claudio and Enedina Saucedo. He was raised in the Lyman area and graduated from Lyman High School in 1968. John continued to reside and worked in the Lyman area where he began his work career at Couplamatic. During his mid years he took residence in Las Vegas, NV and later Gillette, WY where he worked various jobs in hospitality and maintenance. He then retired in 2011 and returned to Scottsbluff.
Having been a sports fan all his life he loved various sports which included baseball, a game of golf and shooting. He mostly enjoyed listening and watching his Big Red Husker teams. He will be remembered as someone who never turned down an invite to watch his grandchildren's activities, savored fried chicken and appreciated the company of others.
Survivors include: his mother, Enedina of Scottsbluff, three daughters, Angela (Gale) of Scottsbluff; Amy (Jeff) of Shawnee, KS; Jodi (Ryan) of Tulsa, OK; one son, Adrian of Cheyenne, WY; brothers, Chris (Nina) of Scottsbluff; Miguel (Maria) of Toledo, OH; one sister, Olivia (Arnold) of Gering; 14 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
His father Claudio and his son Richard preceded him in death.
