Autopsy ordered in Chadron woman's death

No foul play is suspected, but an autopsy and toxicology screening were to be conducted today (Saturday) concerning the death of a 41 year old Chadron resident. Dawes County Attorney Vance Haug says the body of Ashley Rising was found at her residence Friday evening by a friend concerned about the victim's welfare when she did not return phone calls.

Haug says after learning Rising had missed a doctor's appointment, the friend went to Mrs. Rising's home to check on her, where she found her to be deceased. Haug says the autopsy and test being conducted Saturday were to determine the specific cause of death and further information will be released when appropriate.
