27th Street project enters final phase
The city of Scottsbluff says it will begin the final phases of the 27th Street construction next week. Public Works Director Mark Bohl says now that all the bad curb and gutter have been replaced and all corners have new ADA access, the milling and overlay of the street will begin.
Bohl says the milling of the existing surface down 3" prior to the overlay of the street will commence Monday and is planned for the evenings over the course of days. Once the milling is done the laying of 3" of asphalt will begin and be done during the day.
Motorists can expect delays during the overlay, and signs and dividers will be in place to guide traffic. After the overlay is done permanent markings and striping will take place. The entire project is targeted for completion October 10th.
