Mildred L. Cole, 102, Scottsbluff

Mildred L. Cole, 102, of Scottsbluff, died Thursday, April 18, 2013 at Golden Living Center in Scottsbluff. Her funeral service will be held at 10am on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at Sovereign Grace Church in Morrill with Pastor Tom Hunter officiating. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Morrill. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1pm until 6pm at Jones Mortuary in Mitchell. The family respectfully requests that in lieu of any flowers, memorials in Mildred's honor may be made in care of the church or to the family. Mildred was born August 28, 1910 near Glendo, WY to Ora James and Edith (Waln) Leech. She married William Cole, November 9, 1932 in Chadron, NE. They raised their five children on various farms in Wyoming and Nebraska.

Mildred enjoyed playing the piano at church and at home, as well as planting and caring for her wonderful gardens.

Survivors include daughter Shirley Booth of Brady, NE, son Larry (Sally) Cole of Casper, WY and daughter Elsie (George) Brisco of Scottsbluff; daughter in law Pat Cole of Scottsbluff; 22 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death was her parents, Ora and Edith Leech, her husband William Cole, son Roger, daughter Nancy, brother Jim Leech and sisters Emma Harvey, Helen Musselman and Agnes Austin.
