Scottsbluff commits money to Library landscape project
The Scottsbluff city council Monday night agreed to move $50,000 from its contingency fund to pay for landscaping around the Lied Scottsbluff Public Library. Scottsbluff City Manager Rick Kuckkahn says the landscaping around the library has been simplified, and the money will simply pay for underground irrigation, turf and lighting.
Kuckkahn says if additional features, such as a pavilion, are suggested the council may be willing to look at them at a later date.
Kuckkahn said the basic landscaping is being done so the library's neighbors no longer have to view the unfinished look that currently surrounds the facility.
