Meyer, Stratton sworn in to third terms
Ken Meyer and Steve Stratton were sworn in Thursday, both to their third four-year terms as Scotts Bluff County Commissioners. Both men say they decided to run again because they enjoy public service and thanked the voters for supporting them.
Meyer noted a number of the board members have been serving together for awhile and their ability to work together is helping the county.
Stratton said being very accessible allows the commissioners to rapidly address problems that do come up.
Stratton emphasized it is important the rural citizens have a voice on the board, and that's what he tries to provide.
District Judge Leo Dobrovolny conducted the ceremony, which contrary to many years simply involved the two commissioners, the judge and County Clerk Vera Dulaney.
