Nicholas Dale Marsh was born on December 20, 1984 in Scottsbluff to Alex and Sue (Shields) Marsh. He was welcomed into this world by brother Nathan, sister Hope, and loving, proud grandparents. Nick was dedicated to our Lord Jesus Christ, January 13, 1985, by his parents, his grandma Irene, and godparents, Elmer and Francie Hays. We hold true that our Father in heaven keeps all promises and that Nick is truly home where he belongs. Nick attended grade school at Morrill Elementary. He transferred to Mitchell High School his freshman year and graduated in 2003 with many honors. After graduation, Nick attended college in Chadron and Kearney. He took on various jobs including working in the Mitchell schools, Camp Scott, and finally at his dad's shop, where he was training to eventually "take over and take charge." Nick will be remembered by many for the amazing athlete he was in high school, something he loved with all his heart, but he was so much more than that. He had a smile that could light up your soul and just make anyone feel good. He was a protector of his family and friends, and of children everywhere. He loved kids and could make them feel like they were the most important person alive. He never met a stranger and deeply cared about his friends, both past and present. As crazy and wild as Nick could be he could tame any kind of creature, from cats, to ferrets, to raccoons. Nick was loyal, caring, charming, and charismatic. He loved, he is loved and he will be greatly missed, always! Nick was also an amazing father figure and friend to Julian and Isaiah Brown and to their mom, Francine Ranalli.

He is survived by his parents, brother Nathan, sister Hope(Chris)Gillaspy, grandma Irene Shields, uncle Steve Shields, cousin Randy, and many family members on both his mom and dad's side.

Nick was preceded in death by his grandparents Grandpa Don, Grandpa and Grandma Marsh, great grandparents Grandpa and Grandma McCarty.
