Ross to face trial on bribery charge

33 year old Brian Ross will face trial on a charge of bribing a juror. After a short preliminary hearing late Wednesday afternoon, Ross was bound over to Scotts Bluff County District Court and will enter a plea at his arraignment, likely this Friday.

Ross is charged with bribing a juror prior to his methamphetamine possession trial last week. Ross, who was convicted of the drug charge as well as two misdemeanors in the case, is accused of approaching one of the jurors prior to his trial and telling him he could give him "an envelope full of cash" if he could help the defendant in his case.

Ross could receive up to five years in prison if convicted on the bribery count, in addition to what he is given in January when he is sentenced on the drug possession charge.

Ross is being held on $25,000 bond, with a 10% cash provision.
