Mitchell motorcyclist released from hospital after accident

A Mitchell motorcyclist has now been released from Regional West Medical Center after an accident north of Scottsbluff Friday afternoon. The Nebraska State Patrol says 34 year old Jaron Snyder was northbound four miles north of Scottsbluff on Highway 71 in his 2003 Yamaha when his front fender came loose and he had to lay down the bike. Valley Ambulance transported Snyder to the hospital and he was reported in fair condition on Saturday, but has since been released.

Snyder was wearing a helmet. The Patrol estimated damage to the motorcycle at $1,000.

The accident happened at 4:45 Friday afternoon.
