Adda Marie Berry, 85, Bridgeport

Adda Marie Berry, 85 of Bridgeport, Nebraska passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.

Her memorial service will be held on Monday, September 16, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church in Broadwater with Ann Bairn, PMA officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Broadwater.

Cremation has taken place. Memorials may be given to donor's choice. Tributes of sympathy may be left at www.bbchapels.com. Bridgeport Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

Adda was born on January 22, 1928, north of Broadwater in Morrill Count to Albert E. and Gladys Jackson Bentley. She attended school at Pennacle Hill School. She married Joseph Berry on April 9, 1948 at Bridgeport, NE. They lived around the Broadwater and Lisco area and 3 years in Colorado.

Adda Marie cared for foster children in their home for several months. She attended Sidney Beaut School in 1961. She owned and operated the Add-A Curl Beauty Shop in Broadwater. Joe and her also worked at Cedar Brook Trout farm for 9 years. In 1979, Adda Marie moved to Ogallala, where she worked at Sixth Street Food Store for 11 years until she retired because of her health.

She moved to Camp Clark Villa in 1990.

She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church at Broadwater.

Survivors include: brothers John (Leona) Bentley and Marvin (Reatha) Bentley both of Bridgeport, Dean (Arlene) Bentley and Gene Bentley both of Colorado; special nephew Mick Berry and family of Denver, CO and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
