Marcia Colleen Lewis Sauer, 79, Scottsbluff
Marcia Colleen Lewis Sauer, 79, of Scottsbluff, died Monday, June 24, 2013 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Her funeral service will be held at 10:30am on Friday, June 28, 2013 at Immanuel Church in Lincoln with Reverend Ed Hollen officiating. Interment will be at 2pm at Oak Hill Cemetery in Plattsmouth, NE. Visitation is scheduled from 2pm til 8pm on Thursday, at Wadlow Rozanek Funeral Home, 5200 R Street, in Lincoln, NE. In lieu of flowers, any memorials in Marcia's honor may be made in care of Immanuel Church, 941 Charleston Street, Lincoln, NE, 68508. Online condolences may be left at www.jolliffefuneralhome.com. Marcia was born March 13, 1934 in Sargent, NE to John and Louisa (Dunbar) Lewis. Her family moved to Powell, WY and then to Scottsbluff where she received her education and later graduated from Grand Island East High School. She married Floyd Sauer on August 30, 1950 in Scottsbluff. They moved to Minneapolis, MN where Floyd attended college; after which he ministered in Minnesota, North Dakota and Nebraska. Marcia was the chief organist/pianist at many of the churches, she organized choirs, youth programs, was a Sunday School teacher and an accomplished seamstress and decorator. She was a very efficient ministers wife and enjoyed helping establish many of the church programs. After her development of MS, Floyd enjoyed Retirement Home work helping develop Northfield Villa and The Residency in Scottsbluff.
Marcia was a loving, devoted companion and wife, a wonderful mother to her 2 beautiful daughters and served the Lord with all her heart.
Marcia is survived by her husband Floyd of Scottsbluff; daughters Deborah (Wink) Sauer-Farrand of Fresno, CA and Kristi (Roland) Horeis of Fremont; grandson John (Melissa) Farrand of Bakersfield, CA; sister Rachel Launspach; sister in law JoAnne (Marvin) Werkele and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her parents, one brother, 4 sisters, grandson Jamaar Sauer and granddaughter Noelle Sauer preceded her in death.
