Richard Ross, 62, Gering
Richard Ross, 62, of Gering, died Friday, October 19, 2012 at Manville, Wyo. A memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 24, 2012 at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff. Cremation was held at Sunset Memorial Park Crematory. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to the Richard Ross Memorial Fund.
Richard was born October 2, 1950 at Dalton, NE to Sammy and Hazel (Creason) Ross. He graduated from Crawford High School and attended Milford College where he received his ASE certification and various other automotive certificates. Richard married Beverly Bridge on February 25, 1971 at Torrington, WY and made their home in Gering, NE. Richard's past employment includes Goodyear Tire, Cannon Brothers Ford, Dalton's Auto, Realistic Auto and was a proud employee of the Union Pacific Railroad for the past eleven years.
Richard was known as a true family man, a hard worker, was generous and kind hearted.
He is survived by his wife, Bev, daughter, Cyndi (Kevin) Fulk, and their children Alexa and Garrett, son, Coby (Barb) Ross and their children Chyann, Jerrick, Caleb and Maddie and son Chris and his fiancé Katherine Milligan, mother Hazel Ross, siblings, Don (Doneen) Ross, Lora (Dave) Foreman and Alan Ross, brothers and sisters-in-law: Bob (Mindy) Bridge, Becky Jacobs, Rodney (Lisa) Bridge, Renita (Bill) Vlasek, Monie (late husband Ron) Goodnight and Shelly (Bret) Lessert and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother Jimmy Ross, father Sammy Ross, father-in-law Loren "Tuffy" Bridge and nieces Alisha and Elizabeth.
