Evan Joseph Engelhaupt, 29, Scottsbluff

Evan Joseph Engelhaupt, 29, of Scottsbluff, passed away of natural causes Thursday, November 8, 2012, at his home.

Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, November 14, 2012, at Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel in Scottsbluff with Pastor Willie Coop officiating. A time of sharing for family and friends will be at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Evan Engelhaupt family.

Evan was born May 19, 1983, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Gary and Susan Engelhaupt. Evan enjoyed activities with his family and friends. Evan graduated from Gering High School in 2001, where he also played football.

Evan's favorite sports were nascar (Tony Stewart), baseball (Colorado Rockies), and football teams (Huskers and Broncos.) Evan enjoyed and loved his wife, kids, and many family and friends. He was always willing to help those who asked or needed help. Evan also worked for Scotts Bluff County Corrections Center for four and a half years. He was also a volunteer firefighter for the Scotts Bluff Rural Fire Department for two and a half years.

He is survived by his loving wife of four years, Ann; stepdaughter, Ashlee Steyer; son, Adam Joseph Engelhaupt; parents, Gary (Marge) Engelhaupt and Susan Engelhaupt; mother-in-law, Leanne Powell; grandparents, Leland and Dona Weideman; brothers, Aaron (Kim) Engelhaupt, Craig (Shelly) Engelhaupt and Drew Engelhaupt; sisters, Carrie Quevedo Moore and Beth Meyer; sisters-in-law, Nancy Marie Powell and Pamela (Chris) Lee; nieces, Kayleigh Meyer, Alyssa Engelhaupt, Danika Engelhaupt and Kayleigh Morgan; nephews, Seth Engelhaupt, CJ Engelhaupt, Cameron Powell, Patrick Ownes, Donnavan Joseph Leber and Ethan Lee; along with many numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Evan was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; great-grandparents; nephew, Joshus Engelhaupt; and brother-in-law, Larry Eugene Powell Jr.
