Jose Luis Garcia

Jose Luis Garcia walked hand in hand with our heavenly father to heaven on February 16, 2013. His memorial service will be held at 10am on Monday at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Mitchell with Fr. Phil Flott as Celebrant. Rosary services will be held at 1pm on Saturday with visitation until 4pm at Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff. In lieu of any flowers, a memorial in Jose's name has been established at Pinnacle Bank in Mitchell. Online condolences may be left at Jolliffe Funeral Home in Scottsbluff is in charge of arrangements.

Jose was born on December 18, 1966 to Jose and Graciela Garcia in Guadalajara Mexico. As a child Jose moved to Los Angeles, California where he received his childhood education. He moved to Anderson, Indiana where he proceeded to live and raise his family for 21 years. Jose moved to Mitchell, Nebraska where he spent the remainder of the past 8 years working as lead mechanic. Jose has been a dedicated employee at Kurt Manufacturing for the last 8 years. Jose Garcia ensured that his quality of appearance was impeccable. He had a great sense of humor, he enjoyed cooking while spending time with family and friends, he enjoyed dancing with loved ones, and he always ensured those around him enjoyed themselves and was a shoe fanatic.

Jose is survived by his sons Jeremy, Gabriel, Jose Jr. Francisco Garcia; daughters Yvette, Elena Garcia; brothers Raul, Carlos, and Sergio Garcia; sisters Lilia, Letti, Marisela, Sandra, and Juanita Garcia; his loving wife Priscilla Garcia; best friend and former wife, Eleazar Garcia; and the loving members of the Plasencio family.

He is preceded in death by Sarafin and Sara Garcia, Rojelio Villagrana, Uncle Juan Mendez, and Uncle Victor Manuel Garcia.

Jose was a true people person and touched the hearts of everyone he knew as well as befriended everyone he met. Jose will be deeply missed by all who knew him for he is truly unforgettable.
