Bert P. Warren

Grave side memorial services for BERT P. WARREN, will be held at 10am Friday, April 26, 2013 at the Valley View Cemetery with Reverend Robert Smith officiating. Bert died April 22, 2013 at Heritage Estates in Gering, Nebraska after a short illness and cremation has taken place. Memorials may be made to either the Wounded Warrior Project or a charity of the donor's choice. Bert was born July 15, 1936 in Osage, Wyoming the son of Gerry and Hazel (Bock) Warren. He attended school in Crawford, Nebraska and served in the United States Marine Corps. He was employed as an engineer for Burlington Northern Railroad and retired in 1989 after forty years of service. He married Helen (Arndt) Greenly on February 5, 1974 and they resided in Alliance, Nebraska, Sterling, Colorado, and Torrington, Wyoming;

Bert was a life member of the Alliance Fraternal Order of Eagles #136 and the Torrington BPOE Elks Lodge #1726.

Bert is survived by his wife, Helen of Torrington, Wyoming; son Gerry Warren of Holbrook, Arizona; stepson Brad Greenly of Torrington; stepdaughter LeAnna Johnson of Houston, Texas; and two grandsons James "Bo" Johnson and Stewart Johnson both of Austin, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a daughter Edith Irene Cashon.
