Jack Ross Kenagy, 85, Minatare
Jack Ross Kenagy, 85, of Minatare passed away Thursday, June 14 at the Western Nebraska Veteran' s Home. As per his request cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be held Monday, June 17, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. a Dugan-Kramer Funeral Chapel. Military Honors will be rendered by the Nebraska National Guard.
A memorial has been established to the Western Nebraska Veteran's Home.
Jack was born September 3, 1927 in Enders, Nebraska to Wayne and Hazel (Garrett) Kenagy. He received his early education in Sioux County. Jack joined the United States Army in November 3, 1950 and served until he was honorably discharged September 26, 1952.
He married Janice Galloway on January 20, 1956 in a Alliance, Nebraska and the couple made their home in Minatare, Nebraska.
He enjoyed woodworking and was a member of the American Legion.
Jack is survived by his children; Debbie Farrell, Jackie (Bruce) Hill, Pete (Leann) Kenagy and Diana Kenagy (Brandon Sandoz); and grandchildren; Justin Lane, Scott Farrell, Alan Hill, Alisa Hill, Brittney Johnson, Breana Johnson and Brooke Johnson.
Proceeding him in death are his wife, Janice; parents; and granddaughter, Amber Farrell.
