Scottsbluff man to face trial for Alliance church burglaries

A Scottsbluff man who is accused of burglarizing two Alliance churches has been bound over to district court.

29-year old Thomas Wright, Jr., is charged with two counts of felony burglary for allegedly stealing over $1,500 from the Immanuel Lutheran Church and for stealing a money bag containing cash and checks from St. Matthew's Episcopal Church.

The alleged crimes occurred between March 27 and April 1 and Wright is accused of entering both churches through a window.

Wright is scheduled to appear in court May 15. He remains in jail on a $35,000 bond.
