Rain may not be drought buster, but welcome

The welcome light rain we are receiving in the North Platte Valley is probably not going to break the drought but it is welcome.

At the KNEB Studio, as of 9 a.m., we had received a total of .38 of an inch, .31 since midnight. Statistics from the official reporting station at Western Nebraska Regional Airport are close to the same.

Other reports from around the region were generally from a quarter of an inch to close to half an inch.
