Theresa Marie Clouse, 84, Bridgeport

Theresa Marie Clouse, 84 of Bridgeport, Nebraska passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at All Soul's Catholic Church in Bridgeport with Fr. David Rykwalder officiating. Interment will follow at Oregon Trail Memorial Cemetery in Bridgeport. A Vigil service will be Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. at the church. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Bridgeport Memorial Chapel. Memorials may be given to the All Soul's Catholic Church or Bridgeport Rescue Unit. Theresa was born on July 13, 1929 at Campbell, NE to David and Elizabeth (Haller) Schropfer. She received her early education in Campbell, NE. She moved with her parents to Holyoke, Colorado in 1940. She graduated from Phillips County High School. She was united in marriage to Rex Clouse on March 28, 1951 in Holyoke, Colorado. The couple owned and operated their own construction business and lived in various places in Kansas. They moved to Scottsbluff and later to Bridgeport to meet their life long dream of farming.

She drove the bus for Bridgeport Schools for 22 years. She was a member of the All Soul's Catholic Church in Bridgeport.

She enjoyed her farm, gardening, traveling, and animals. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons Timothy and Traci Clouse of Gresham, NE and Christopher and Amy Clouse of Hemingford, NE and daughter Rose and Perry Nelson of Bridgeport, NE; grandchildren: Jonathan Clouse and special friend Heather of Littleton, CO, Paul and Tierney Clouse of Ft. Carson, CO; Jeremy and Mike Clouse of Gresham, NE; Tyler Clouse of Mitchell, Levi, Jacob and Lilyann Therese Clouse all of Hemingford and Andrew and Brittany Nelson of Bridgeport and three great grandchildren, Braden, Haley and Aubrey Clouse of Ft. Carson, Colorado; brother, Raymond and Isabelle Schropfer of Haxtun, CO and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Jerome Schropfer, husband Rex, daughter Ann Loxterkamp and aunt Sister Ambrosia Haller.
