New Lincoln elementary virtually complete
Construction on the new Lincoln elementary school is virtually complete. Gering Superintendent Don Hague says the new gym floor was installed last week and only landscaping and minor details are left before the move begins at the middle of this month.
Hague says the move will take at least a week. Hague says playground equipment will be in the first of July. Hague says the district has managed to stay within budget, and will use $500,000 from the district's capital reserve fund to pay for the extra four classrooms constructed plus other items in the construction.
