27th Street construction under way

The City of Scottsbluff and Simon Contractors would like to remind motorists that the 27th Street construction project began Monday morning. This project will run from Avenue I, east to Highway 26 and will consist of curb and gutter replacement, sidewalk repair, ADA upgrades, intersection repair and then mill and overlay of the entire street.

Concrete work will be done during the daytime hours with traffic able to access businesses and do daily travel. The mill and overlay will be done in the overnight from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. and when that part of work begins, there will be updates issued as work progresses.

Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while in and around this high traffic construction area. Any detours needed will be in place to guide motorists in and around the construction area.
