Broadway, Avenue I street projects set for 2013

In presenting the one and six year street plans to the Scottsbluff City Council Monday evening, Public Works Director Mark Bohl described the two major projects that will be done this year. The first will be a milling and overlay of Broadway.

That project will also include ADA improvements at the intersection corners along with curb and gutter replacement or repair. Bohl says that work could get started as early as next month.

Downtown parking will change to diagonal parking and lanes will change with north and south traffic lanes and a center turn lane. Traffic signals will also be removed from 15th to 19th Streets.

The second project will be a similar milling and overlay of Avenue I from South Beltline to 27th Street. Bohl says parking on the west side of Avenue will be removed for better traffic flow.
