Marvin Leroy Posten, 74, died Sunday, June 2, 2013 at the Goshen Care Center's Alzheimer's Unit in Torrington, Wyoming.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 5, at the Prairie Rest Cemetery in Guernsey, Wyoming with, good friend, Reverend Bill Walker officiating. Cremation has taken place.
Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Unit in Torrington.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Colyer Funeral Home and friends may send their condolences to the family at .

Marvin was born June 14, 1938, in Thomas County, Nebraska the son of George E. and Violet R. (Wirtz) Posten. Marvin moved with his family to Guernsey when he was 11 years old. He graduated high school from Guernsey in 1957. On April 2, 1959, Marvin married Marrietta Bromley in Wheatland, Wyoming. The couple resided in Guernsey until Marvin moved to the Goshen Care Center's Alzheimer's Unit, recently. Marvin worked at the CF & I Mine, as a foreman, for 25 years. When the mine closed down, he went to work for the railroad as a van driver for the next 30 years.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, trapping and camping. Marvin also loved spending time with family. He loved life!

Survivors include his wife Marietta; their four children, Clinton (Dana) Bromley of Encampment, WY, Rick (Sid) Posten of Torrington, Trent (Louise) Posten of Gillette, WY, and Kathy (Shannon) Anderson of Green River, WY; fourteen grandchildren; and 8 great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his parents; his brother Sonny and his sister-in-law Betty.
