Ronald C. Schwartzkopf, 75
Memorial services for RONALD C. SCHWARTZKOPF, 75, will be held at 10am Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the Colyer Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Rick Cederholm officiating. Ron died October 10, 2013 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska after a six month battle with cancer. Cremation has taken place. Ronald was born November 24, 1937 in Huntley, Wyoming to William and Emma (Heil) Schwartzkopf. Ron attended school in Torrington, Wyoming up to the 8th grade. He spent most of his youth at his dad's pool hall playing the game he loved. He loved to fish and camp. He enjoyed building and running his remote control airplanes and boats. Ron met and married Elizabeth Worrell on August 3, 1957. To this marriage he had five children. He worked for Z&W Mill, Allan Transfer and Boyer Furniture. After a few years with Boyer's, he went into business for himself as a repair man for Frigidaire Appliance. In 1969 Ron moved his family to Ogallala, Nebraska where he helped build and later worked for Union 76. He later divorced and moved to Sterling, Colorado where he met and married Lois Loft. Ron worked for Allen Mitchek for several years and retired there. He and Lois moved to Julesburg, Colorado a few years ago.
Survivors include his wife Lois Schwartzkopf of Julesburg, Colorado; daughter Cindi (Carol) Ward of Chilton, Texas, sons Mike (Debbie) Schwartzkopf of Lubbock, Texas and Larry (Polly) Schwartzkopf of Oshkosh, Nebraska; daughter Tammy (Dave) Relka of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; sister June Herdt of Torrington, Wyoming; twin brother Daniel Schwartzkopf of Ogallala; brother Jack Schwartzkopf of Torrington; eleven grandchildren; eighteen great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his daughter Lisa Kay Schwartzkopf; his father and mother; sister Lori Schwartzkopf; brother Leroy "Bill" Schwartzkopf; and his fathers and mothers-in-law.
