Fresh snow leads to white Christmas
An overnight storm system dropped a couple inches of snow on the area, bringing a white Christmas to western Nebraska and southeastern Wyoming.
The National Weather Service said that between one and four inches of snow fell at most reporting stations.
Roads were snow-covered and slippery early Christmas morning, but crews were out early to remove the snow.
Winds were light with the system, and therefor blowing and drifting snow was not an issue. Temperatures will be cold, with highs only in the teens Christmas Day, and lows below zero tonight.
Another storm system will bring more accumulating snow to the area Wednesday night and Thursday.
