Production begins on Great American Wheat Harvest Movie
Production has started on the Great American Wheat Harvest movie. The film, which will document the 2013 wheat harvest, began production at the John Deere Harvester Gold Key Factory in Moline, Ill.
Producer-Director Conrad Weaver says they filmed the owners of Kansas based JKD Harvesting actually observe production of one of their John Deere STS combines.
Weaver says production on the wheat harvest will begin in Texas in mid-May and run all the way into the fall as crews move north into Saskatchewan, Canada. The goal is to have the movie debut on National Ag Day in Washington, D.C in March of 2014 and then tour in movie theaters throughout America, including the historic Midwest Theater in Scottsbluff.
Weaver says you can become an individual sponsor of the movie by joining the Producer's Club on the sponsor link on the movie's website, and donating some or all of the $5,000 daily cost to produce the movie.
